At Boulder Ridge Kennels we raise three colors of Labrador Retrievers: Black, Chocolate, and Yellow.
These dogs are great for families, especially those with small children. They are easily trained, and are not aggressive. These dogs are easily house trained.
At Boulder Ridge Kennels the size of our dogs range with the sex. The males tend to weigh from 70-100 lbs, and the females tend to weigh from 50-80 lbs. The males tend to stand from 20-28 inches to the shoulder, and the females tend to stand 16-24 inches to the shoulder.
Of the three colors of Labrador Retrievers, you will find the black labs the most docile. Closely followed by the yellows, and the chocolate labs tend to be the most energetic.
We have been breeding our dogs to enhance the docile trait in each puppy. At our Kennel, you will find the temperament of the three colors of labs is almost indistinguishable.
Juggie
Black Labrador Retrievers
Black Labrador Retrievers are one of the three types of Labradoer Retrievers raised at Boulder Ridge Kennels. These dogs are the calmest of all the labrador retrievers. They are extremely docile. They are extremely easy to train and are great for young families.
All of our black labrador retrievers come from Juggie, one of our prized chocolate labs. His puppies are extremely calm and easily trained.
Chocolate Labrador Retrievers are the second type of Labrador Retrievers raised at Boulder Ridge Kennels. These dogs are one of the more popular dogs sold at Boulder Ridge. The chocolates are slightly less docile than the blacks but are still great with children.
Our prized chocolate sire is Juggy. Juggy was purchased from an established dog breeder. Juggy is trained to the gun, and has a very soft mouth. His puppies are extremely intelligent and sociable. Some of Juggies puppies have won awards in dog shows across Canada. These are some of Juggies puppies.
Yellow Labrador Retrievers are the last type of Labrador Retriever that is raised at Boulder Ridge Kennels. The yellows are comparable to the chocolates temperment wise, and are just as easy to train.
All of our yellow puppies stem from a single yellow female by the name of Kitty. Kitty had her hips certified when she was 4 years old. Her puppies are loyal and great for people with young children.
Yeller, one of our prized yellow labrador retrievers has his hips cerified at the age of 4. One of his offspring is Pooh. These are some of his puppies.
